PAO STL - Home of the complete athlete

At PAO STL, we offer programs designed to meet athletes where they are—whether they’re just starting out or competing at a high level. Our training pathways include U11-U18 Teams which are catered to provide teams for travel, regional, and semi-regional/local levels of competition. Along with our teams we also offer in-season skills and performance sessions, off-season clinics and open gyms, and private lessons tailored to individual goals.

With two training homes—PAO STL in St. Charles and PAO Southside in Affton—we provide a structured, positive, and family-oriented environment where athletes can grow, compete, and belong.

Performance Training

Performance Training combines strength, speed, and agility work in a newly built, in-house facility led by certified trainers. Athletes learn proper movement, lifting form, progressive overload, and nutritional habits to support long-term health, injury prevention, and athletic growth. The program emphasizes physical development as the foundation for technical, tactical, and psychological performance.

Club Training

Club Training is a season-long, structured program that teaches fundamental volleyball skills using simple, proven principles reinforced by all coaches. It blends skill work with speed, agility, and strength training to develop confident, well-rounded athletes of all ages and levels.

Team Training

Team Training develops athletes’ tactical understanding by focusing on game-like environments that enhance real-game performance and retention. By separating skill work from team sessions, coaches can concentrate on strategy and decision-making, following a proven format that lets the game itself be the teacher.

Total Training

A structured weekly 6-hour training that combines skill-building drills with game-like scenarios to support complete athlete development. This extended format, exceeding typical club offerings, enhances athletes’ technical, tactical, physical, and mental growth in a consistent, goal-oriented environment.
